T.L. Alexis Wears
Alex Wears is the Treasurer and a Senior Associate at Collins & Company, Inc.

Ms. Wears served in the United States Army for eight years. For the first three years of her time in the Service, she was stationed at Fort Carson, Colorado where she was named Division Soldier of the Year. She then moved to Washington, D.C. after being hand-selected to work at the Pentagon for General Carl E. Vouno, the Chief of Staff of the Army. Ms. Wears continued in this position during General Gordon R. Sullivan's four-year tour as Chief of Staff and then left the military to complete to her college education.

After leaving the Army, Ms. Wears joined Collins & Company as its first employee. As the company grew, she progressed from Executive Administrative Assistant to Director of Operations. After completing law school, Ms. Wears began work in the consulting department of Collins & Company rising to Senior Associate and Legal Advisor while maintaining her position as Treasurer.

As a Senior Associate for Collins & Company, Ms. Wears specializes in defense and homeland security issues. She currently represents a range of customers from very large defense companies to small high technology organizations, working with them to identify federal objectives and to design and execute strategies to achieve them.

With over 14 years of experience in the commercial sector, she is responsible for designing, establishing and maintaining an integrated financial management system, including accounting, analyses and financial reporting as well as controlling contractual documents and implementing price and business controls. She also serves as the principal consultant and advisor to the President and Vice President on all matters concerning financial management.

Ms. Wears graduated from George Mason University summa cum laude with a B.S. in Accounting. After passing the Virginia CPA exam, she went on to Georgetown University Law Center where she received her J.D. in May 2004.
